Heather Jones

Heather is currently an SBA Product Specialist with Synovus Bank, serving the needs of businesses in the Alabama, Nashville and west Georgia markets.  She has over 20 years in banking with underwriting and originating SBA loans. She has been with Synovus as an SBA Lender for 9 years. With the help of her and the Synovus SBA Team they have increased their presence in their footprint.   She enjoys working with business owners and listening to their stories of how they started their businesses. Heather’s primary focus is working together with the commercial lenders and business bankers to help provide growth opportunities and create solutions for local businesses. 

A longtime resident of the Birmingham, AL area, Heather has lived and worked here for many years. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Prior to joining the Synovus Team, she worked for a Certified Development Company with a primary focus of SBA and a non-bank 7a lender in Georgia.  She also worked for a small community bank in her hometown for 10 years. She greatly appreciates Synovus’ commitment to being a Preferred SBA Lender which allows for her to service clients quickly, efficiently and helps her clients keep their businesses running smoothly.
